Charles "Chuck" Kowalski

Private Eye, owner and sole employee of A.A.K. Investigations, Boston MA. Since the Baxter Building affair, Chuck has gained something of a reputation for accepting and solving some very strange cases - but it pays the rent! Prides himself on not owning a telephone!

Dr. Harry Rogers

Chuck's young and sometimes over-enthusiastic doctor friend. Has a residency at a major Boston hospital, but seems more interested in adventure and amateur sleuthing.

Dan Holly

Investigative reporter for the Boston Journal, Dan was left for dead in a temple of Chaugnar Faugn following the party's recent adventure in Montreal. This doesn't appear to have affected his journalistic abilities since his return to Boston.

Anna Ryde

Russian émigré, and professional occult/mystery writer. Now living in Buffalo, Anna is currently trading on the success of her recent novel "Horror's Heart", a thrilling story of Werewolves, Cultists and Ancient Horrors set in a French Canadian town.

David Martlesham

Professional Researcher and Psychologist, with specialist interests in the Paranormal and the Occult, David is based at a Boston University when he isn't being sidetracked by something more interesting. Seems able to talk himself into all kinds of trouble.

Pierre Henri Levington

An old friend of Martlesham's. Archaeologist and Historian. Recently relocated to Boston from his home town of Montreal.

Penelope Bryant
